Portrait Drawings

Under the pseudonym ‘Jerzovskaja’,
KAI revolutionised the look of portraits constructed with
geometric vectors from 2006 onwards.

For the 2012 European Football Championship, he drew
over 400 portraits for the European football association UEFA, which
were used as player portraits on the Euro 2012 website.

In addition to the large number of portraits,
the challenge for the artist was to draw the players who had been re-nominated
shortly before the tournament, within a few days.

Between 2012 and 2014, KAI drew over 200 portraits
of European football legends for the “Champions League Classic Matches” series
on the uefa.com website.

In his portrait drawings, KAI combines his outstanding eye for faces
with his first-class feeling for proportion, colour and mood.

Each vector is hand-drawn from photographs in Adobe Illustrator.
This results in timelessly elegant portraits.

KAI’s unique portrait style has been copied worldwide,
but the human twist and the natural and organic look of his portraits is unmatched.
